Schedule Enforcements

How to configure enforcement rules that keep your team's time records accurate in Teamsly

Enforcements are rules that keep your team's time records accurate and consistent. They automate actions like flagging late arrivals, preventing early clock-ins, reminding employees to clock out, and auto clocking out anyone who forgets. Each enforcement can be toggled and configured independently.

Getting There

Click the gear icon at the bottom of the left navigation to open Settings, then select Enforcements under the Timesheets group.

Available Enforcements

Mark Late After X Minutes

Flags an employee as late on their timesheet if they clock in more than a set number of minutes after their scheduled start time. Set the number of minutes that defines "late" for your business — for example, if you set 5 minutes, an employee who clocks in 6 minutes after their shift starts will be marked late.

Prevent Early Clock-In

Stops employees from clocking in more than a set number of minutes before their scheduled shift starts. This helps prevent inflated hours from employees arriving and clocking in well ahead of their shift.

Clock-Out Reminder

Sends an automatic push notification to remind employees to clock out after their shift ends. Set how many minutes after the scheduled end time the reminder should fire.

Declare Tips After Shift

Prompts employees to declare their cash and credit tips when they clock out. Enable this if your business tracks tip income and you want employees to log it as part of their shift wrap-up.

💡

The cash and credit tips feature must also be enabled in Settings → Time Tracking for tip declaration to be available to employees.

Auto Clock-Out

Automatically clocks out employees who forget to clock out after their shift. Set the number of minutes after the shift ends before the auto clock-out triggers. This prevents timesheets from running on indefinitely due to missed clock-outs.

⚠️

When auto clock-out fires, the clock-out time is set to the configured number of minutes after the scheduled shift end — not the current time. Review auto clock-out entries in timesheets before finalizing payroll.
