When a task isn't completed by its due time, Teamsly marks it overdue automatically. Overdue and missed tasks are visible to managers across the Today tab, the Stats card, and the History tab — so nothing falls through the cracks and you can follow up with the right person.
What "Overdue" and "Late" Mean
Teamsly tracks two types of incomplete tasks:
Overdue — A task that has passed its due time but has not been completed yet. It's still visible and can still be checked off. Overdue tasks are highlighted in pink in the Today tab and on the mobile app.
Late — A task that was completed, but after its due time. It shows as completed in the History tab.
Seeing Overdue Tasks in the Stats Card
The Stats card at the top of the Task Manager dashboard shows a real-time count of Overdue tasks for the selected date. You can see at a glance how many tasks are past due without opening any individual task list.
Finding Overdue Tasks on the Today Tab
Open the Today tab in the Task Manager. Overdue tasks appear at the top of each task list section, highlighted in pink with a red Overdue label and the time they were due. Overdue tasks can still be completed from the Today tab — click the checkbox to mark them done even after the due time has passed.
Reviewing Missed Tasks in the History Tab
The History tab gives you a full table of all tasks for any selected date, with a Status column showing whether each task was completed, completed late, or left incomplete. Use the date picker arrows in the top right to navigate to previous days and review missed tasks from earlier in the week.
Reviewing Missed Tasks on Mobile (History)
On mobile, go to More → Task Manager and tap the History tab. The Stats section at the top shows Overdue and Late counts for the selected date. Completed tasks show a green dot; incomplete tasks show an orange dot and are labeled "Incomplete."
💡 Overdue tasks automatically carry forward into the History tab for the day they were due, so you always have a clear record of what was and wasn't completed — even after the day has passed.
Following Up on Missed Tasks
The History tab shows the Assignee column for every task, so you can see exactly who was responsible for a task that didn't get done. Use this to have a conversation with the employee or adjust the task's assignment if the wrong person was being asked to do it.
🔔 Teamsly does not currently send automatic alerts to managers when a task goes overdue. To stay on top of completion, check the Today tab and Stats card during the day or review the History tab at the end of each day.
