Adding Photos and Notes to Completed Tasks

How employees upload photos and add notes to tasks in the Teamsly mobile app, and where managers can review them

Employees can attach photos and written notes to any task when completing it from the mobile app. Photos provide visual proof the work was done, and notes let employees add context — like a temperature reading, a quantity, or a flag for the manager. Both are submitted from the task detail screen.

Getting There

From the Home screen, tap the Tasks card to open your task list for the day. Tap any task name (not the checkbox) to open the task detail screen where the photo and notes fields live.

Uploading a Photo

On the task detail screen, scroll to the Photos section. Tap Upload Photo to take a new photo or select one from your camera roll. You can upload as many photos as needed — they appear as thumbnails in the Photos section once added. To remove a photo, tap the X on the photo thumbnail.

📱 Photos can only be submitted from the mobile app. Managers reviewing completed tasks on the web can see submitted photos in the History tab.

Adding a Note

Below the Photos section, you'll find a Notes field. Type your note and tap the send arrow to submit it. Notes are saved immediately and visible to managers. You can add multiple notes to a single task — each is saved with the employee's name and the time it was submitted.

Marking the Task Complete

Photos and notes can be added before or after marking a task complete. To mark the task done from the detail screen, tap the Completed checkbox at the top of the screen.

Where Managers See Photos and Notes

Managers can review submitted photos and notes from the History tab in the Task Manager on web or mobile. Click or tap any completed task row to open the task detail panel, which shows the completion status, who completed it, what time it was done, and any photos and notes submitted.

✅ Notes are great for flagging issues without sending a separate message — for example, "Ice machine making a noise, may need service" submitted as a note on the equipment check task.
