Requiring Photo Proof for a Task

How to require employees to upload a photo when completing a task in Teamsly, and how managers can view submitted photos

Photo proof lets you require employees to upload a photo before or when completing a task — giving you visual confirmation the work was actually done. It's useful for tasks like restocking supplies, sanitizing surfaces, or completing equipment checks where a photo is the clearest form of accountability.

Getting There

Photo proof is set on individual tasks, either when creating a task inside a task list or when creating a single task. You can set it from the web or the mobile app.

Enabling Photo Proof on a Task (Web)

When creating or editing a task, you'll see a Require photo proof toggle. Toggle it on to make a photo mandatory for that task. Tasks with photo proof enabled show a red Photo badge next to the task in the Manage tab.

Enabling Photo Proof on a Task (Mobile)

When creating a single task on mobile, the Require Photo toggle appears below the Assign to field. For tasks inside a task list, tap Edit on the task list, then tap the task row to open the task detail and enable the photo requirement.

What Employees See

When an employee opens a task that requires photo proof, they'll see an Upload Photo button with a camera icon in the task detail screen. They can take a photo or choose one from their camera roll. They can upload multiple photos if needed. After uploading, photos appear as thumbnails in the Photos section. Employees can also add a note alongside the photo using the Notes field.

📱 Photo proof can only be submitted from the mobile app. Managers reviewing completed tasks on web can see the submitted photos in the History tab.

Viewing Submitted Photos

Managers can see submitted photos by going to the History tab in the Task Manager, selecting the relevant date, and clicking on any completed task row. The task detail panel shows the status, assignee, task list, and any photos and notes submitted.

✅ Tasks with photo proof required show a red Photo badge on the Today and Manage tabs so both managers and employees know a photo is expected.
