If you can't make an assigned shift, you can release it so colleagues can pick it up. Once released, the shift immediately becomes available for others to request — no manager approval is needed before it shows up. A manager will still need to approve whoever picks it up.
On the Web
Go to your Schedule and click on the shift you can't work.
In the shift details panel, click the Can't Work button at the bottom.
Select Release Shift from the options that appear.
The shift is immediately released and will appear as available for your colleagues. It will show with your name as the person who released it so colleagues know the context.
On Mobile
Tap Schedule in the bottom nav bar.
Tap on the shift you can't work to open its details.
Tap Can't Work at the bottom of the screen.
Select Release Shift.
The shift is immediately released. Colleagues will see it in the Open Shifts tab and can request to work it. Your manager will be notified when someone picks it up and will approve or deny that request.
💡 Releasing a shift doesn't remove it from your schedule until a manager approves a colleague's request to take it. Until then, it remains your responsibility.
