Task Manager Overview

The Task Manager lets you create, assign, and track tasks for your team — from daily opening and closing checklists to one-off to-dos assigned to a specific employee. Managers can see completion progress in real time, and employees see their tasks right on the Home screen of the mobile app so nothing gets missed.

💡 The Tasks module must be enabled before it appears in the app. Go to Settings → Modules on/off and toggle Tasks module on. Once enabled, the Task Manager icon appears in the left navigation.

Enabling the Task Manager Module

Go to Settings → Modules on/off and toggle Tasks module enabled on.

Getting There

Click the Task Manager icon in the left navigation (the checklist icon). On mobile, go to More → Task Manager.

The Task Manager Dashboard

At the top of the Task Manager you'll see two summary cards for the selected date:

  • Tasks — A donut chart showing the completion percentage, with a count of Completed tasks and total Assigned tasks for the day.

  • Stats — A breakdown showing Total tasks, Completed, Late, and Overdue counts.

Use the calendar icon next to the date to jump to any specific day and see that day's task status.

The Three Views

The Task Manager has three tabs — Manage, Today, and History:

  • Manage — Where you build and organize your task lists and single tasks. This is the manager's setup view.

  • Today — A live view of all tasks due today, grouped by task list. Tasks that are overdue are highlighted in pink.

  • History — A table view of all tasks for the selected date, showing each task's status, the employee who completed it, the time it was completed, any notes, and any details.

Two Types of Tasks

There are two ways to create tasks in Teamsly:

  • Task Lists — A named group of related tasks, such as an "Opening Checklist" or "Kitchen Close." Task lists can repeat daily or weekly and have a shared start time and due time.

  • Single Tasks — A standalone one-off or recurring task not attached to a list. Single tasks appear under a "Single Tasks" section at the bottom of the Manage tab.

How Employees See Tasks

Employees don't need to open the Task Manager to find their tasks. Tasks assigned to them appear directly on the Home screen of the mobile app as a Tasks card, showing a completion counter and a list of their upcoming tasks.

📱 On mobile, managers and employees can also access the Task Manager directly from More → Task Manager.
