Once clocked in, employees can start and end jobs at any point during their shift — and work multiple job codes back to back within the same shift. This lets you track exactly how much time went into each job, project, or task without requiring separate clock-in/out events.
Starting a Job on the Web Time Clock
After clocking in, the time clock modal shows a Start Job button alongside the Take a Break and Clock Out options.
Click Start Job.
A dropdown appears asking "What job code are you working on?" — select the job code from the list.
Click Start Job to confirm. The job timer begins.
To end the current job and start a new one, click Start Job again and select a different code. The previous job ends automatically and the new one starts.
Starting a Job on the Shared Time Clock (Kiosk)
The process is the same as the personal web time clock. After clocking in, re-enter your PIN or credentials to bring up the time clock modal, then tap Start Job and select the job code.
Starting a Job on Mobile
The mobile app supports the same job code workflow. After clocking in, the Home screen shows your active shift. Tap the shift card or the clock icon to open the time clock options, then select Start Job and choose a job code from the dropdown. You can start as many jobs as needed during a shift — each one ends when you start the next.
💡 There's no limit to how many job codes an employee can work in a single shift. Each job code tracks time independently, so if an employee splits their shift across three projects, all three are recorded separately on the timecard.
