Reporting and Exporting Hours by Job Code

How to view and export job code hours and labor costs using the Job Codes tab in Timesheets and the Job Codes Summary report

Teamsly gives you two ways to see job code totals and costs: the Job Codes tab in Timesheets & Reports, and the Job Codes Summary in the Reports section. Both are exportable.

Job Codes Tab in Timesheets & Reports

Go to Timesheets in the left navigation, then click the Job Codes tab at the top of the page (alongside Timesheets and Pay).

This view shows a breakdown of hours and estimated pay per job code for the selected date range, with each job code as a row. Expand any job code to see which employees worked it, how many hours each person logged, their hourly rate, and their estimated pay for that code.

Use the date range picker in the top right to filter by payroll period or custom range. Click Download to export the data.

Job Codes Summary in Reports

Go to Reports in the left navigation, then select Job Codes Summary under the Job Codes section in the sidebar.

This report takes a different angle — it shows each job code as a row and breaks down the total hours and pay that went into it, split out by hourly pay rate. This makes it easy to see the total labor cost per job at a glance, as well as which pay rates contributed to it.

Filter by date range, role, or employee using the controls at the top.

💡 Use the Job Codes tab in Timesheets when you want to see which employees worked which codes and what it cost per person. Use the Job Codes Summary in Reports when you want a total cost-per-job breakdown for billing or project accounting.

Exporting Job Code Data

Both reports support export. In the Job Codes tab, click Download in the top right. In the Job Codes Summary, use the export option to download the report. Exports are available as CSV for use in payroll, billing, or project management tools.
