Adding Workers to a Job

How to add, assign, and manage workers and roles on a job in Teamsly, including open shift slots

Each job can have one or more workers assigned to it, each with their own role. Workers are added directly in the Job Details panel — on web or mobile — and each assigned worker automatically gets a corresponding shift in the schedule.

Adding Workers on Web

Open a job from the Schedule → Jobs tab and click the pencil icon to edit it. In the workers section, each row has a role dropdown on the left and an employee selector on the right. Click + Add Worker to add another crew member row. Click the X next to an employee to unassign them (leaving the slot open) or the trash icon to remove that worker row entirely. Click Save when done.

Adding Workers on Mobile

Open any job from Schedule → Jobs tab and tap into the job. In the Roles & Employees section, each worker row shows their role label above and an employee selector below. Tap the employee row to change who is assigned. Tap the trash icon to remove a worker. Tap + Add Worker to add another crew member.

Assigned vs. Unassigned Workers (Open Shifts)

You can add a worker row with a role but leave the employee unassigned. This creates an open shift on the schedule for that role and time. Open shifts can be assigned by a manager or picked up by an eligible employee. Jobs with unassigned worker slots are highlighted in orange on the Jobs calendar.

💡 Removing a worker from a job removes their shift from the schedule entirely. If you want to keep the slot but swap who's doing it, change the employee rather than deleting the row.
