Jobs Overview & Enabling the Jobs Module

What the Jobs module is, how to enable it, and how jobs work with your schedule in Teamsly

The Jobs module lets you create jobs, assign employees to them, and manage everything in one place. Each worker assigned to a job gets a corresponding shift on the regular schedule — so jobs and scheduling stay fully in sync. Jobs are ideal for field service businesses like moving companies, cleaning crews, construction teams, or any operation where work is organized around specific jobs rather than just shifts.

Enabling the Jobs Module

The Jobs module must be enabled before it appears in your schedule. Go to Settings → Modules on/off and toggle Jobs module enabled on. Once enabled, a Jobs tab will appear alongside Month, Employee, and Shift on the Schedule page.

How Jobs Work

A job is a container for one or more workers doing work at a specific time and location. When you create a job and add workers to it:

  • Each assigned worker gets a shift added to the regular schedule automatically

  • The shift inherits the job's date, time, address, and notes

  • If you add a worker slot without assigning anyone, it appears as an open shift that can be filled from the schedule or claimed by an employee

  • If you remove a worker from the job, their shift is removed from the schedule

  • If you update the job's notes, the notes on all worker shifts update automatically

💡 Think of a job as a way to group related shifts. Instead of creating individual shifts for each crew member, you create one job and add all the workers to it — then manage them all from one place.

The Jobs Tab

The Jobs tab on the Schedule page shows all jobs in a weekly calendar view. Each job appears as a card showing the job name, time, and number of workers. Jobs with unassigned workers are highlighted in orange. You can click any job card to view or edit its details.

On mobile, the Jobs tab is available on the Schedule screen and shows jobs grouped by day.
