Setting Up Shift Feedback

How to enable shift feedback and configure when employees are asked to rate their shift in Teamsly

Shift Feedback lets you automatically ask employees how their shift went after they clock out. Employees get a push notification a few minutes after their shift ends, tap it, and rate their experience on a 1–5 scale — from Awful to Great — with an optional comment. Their responses are collected in the Shift Feedback report so you can spot trends and address issues early.

Getting There

Click the gear icon at the bottom of the left navigation to open Settings, then click Shift Feedback under the Feedback section.

Enabling Shift Feedback

Check the Shift Feedback checkbox at the top of the page to turn the feature on. When enabled, two configuration options appear:

  • Send employees a push notification X minutes after their shift ends — Set how long after clock-out the feedback request is sent. The default is 5 minutes.

  • Ask for feedback every [days of week] — Choose which days of the week to send feedback requests. Click each day circle to toggle it on or off.

💡 Feedback is only requested on days you have selected. If an employee works a shift on a day that isn't toggled on, they won't receive a feedback prompt after that shift.

How Employees Give Feedback

When an employee clocks out on a selected day, they'll receive a push notification after the delay you set. Tapping the notification opens a popup showing the shift name, date, and time, with five emoji rating options: 😠 Awful (1), 😟 Bad (2), 😐 Okay (3), 🙂 Good (4), 😄 Great (5). Below the rating, employees can add a written comment before tapping Submit Feedback.

📱 Shift feedback is collected through the mobile app only. Employees need the Teamsly app installed and push notifications enabled to receive feedback prompts.
