Recurring tasks save you from having to recreate the same tasks every day or week. Whether it's a daily opening checklist or a weekly inventory count, you set the recurrence once and Teamsly automatically generates the tasks on schedule for your team. Both task lists and standalone single tasks support daily and weekly recurrence.
Getting There
Recurrence is set when creating or editing a task list or single task. Open the Task Manager from the left navigation, go to the Manage tab, and click Add Task List or Add Single Task.
Recurrence Options
The Repeating dropdown has three options:
Does not repeat — The task or task list runs once and doesn't regenerate.
Daily — Regenerates every day automatically. Best for opening checklists, closing checklists, and any daily operational routine.
Weekly — Regenerates once per week. Best for tasks like weekly inventory counts, equipment deep cleans, or any weekly cycle.
Setting Up a Daily Recurring Task List
Click Add Task List on the Manage tab.
Enter a Title and optional description.
Set Repeating to Daily.
Set the Start time and Due time.
Add your tasks using + Add Task.
Make sure the Published toggle is on, then click Save.
From the next day onward, the task list regenerates automatically each morning. Completed tasks from the previous day are cleared and a fresh copy appears for your team.
Setting Up a Weekly Recurring Task List
The process is identical to creating a daily task list — just set Repeating to Weekly instead of Daily. The task list will regenerate on the same day each week.
💡 The recurrence day for a weekly task list is based on the day you save it. If you create a Weekly task list on a Tuesday, it will regenerate every Tuesday.
Setting Up a Recurring Single Task
Single tasks also support Daily and Weekly recurrence. When you create a single task and set Repeating to Daily or Weekly, it regenerates automatically on schedule. Single tasks appear under the Single Tasks section at the bottom of the Manage tab with a green Daily or Weekly badge.
