The notes field on a job is a rich text area where you can include everything your crew needs to know before arriving at a job. Whatever you write here is automatically pushed to the shift notes of every worker assigned to that job — so the information travels with the shift without any extra steps.
What to Include in Job Notes
Job notes are free-form. Common uses include client name and contact info, arrival time (if different from shift start), origin and destination addresses, parking instructions, estimated job duration, number of trucks or crew quoted, special instructions, and equipment requirements.
Adding or Editing Notes on Web
Open any job from the Schedule → Jobs tab and click the pencil icon to enter edit mode. The notes field is at the bottom of the Job Details panel with a rich text toolbar. Type or paste your notes and click Save.
Adding or Editing Notes on Mobile
Tap any job in the Schedule → Jobs tab to open Job Details. Scroll down to the Description section and tap Edit next to it. Enter your notes and save.
How Notes Sync to Worker Shifts
When you save job notes, they are written to the shift notes of every worker currently assigned to that job. If you later update the notes, all worker shifts update at the same time. Employees can see these notes in their Shift Details screen in the mobile app — addresses in the notes are tappable and open directly in maps.
📋 Notes sync to shifts automatically when you save the job. You do not need to edit each worker's shift individually — updating the job updates everyone.
