Requesting Time Off as an Employee

Employees can request PTO, Paid Sick Leave, or Unpaid Time Off directly from the web or mobile app. All requests go to a manager for approval.

On the Web

Go to Requests → Time Off Requests. Your current balances and pending requests are shown on this page. To submit a new request, click Add Time Off in the top right corner.

  1. Select the Type — PTO, Paid Sick Leave, or Unpaid Time Off.

  2. Optionally add a Comment for your manager.

  3. Set the Request Dates using the date range picker.

  4. Each day in the range will appear below. By default each day is set to All Day. Toggle All Day off to set specific start and end times for a partial day instead.

  5. The Total hours are calculated automatically as you make selections.

  6. Click Submit Request.

⚠️ If your request exceeds your available balance or violates the advance notice requirement set by your manager, an error will appear in red and the Submit Request button will be disabled until the issue is resolved.

On Mobile

Tap More in the bottom nav bar, then tap Request Off. The screen shows a donut chart with your current balances — Paid Sick Leave, PTO, and any Pending hours — along with a list of your existing requests.

To submit a new request, tap the + button in the top right:

  1. Select the Type from the dropdown (PTO, Paid Sick Leave, or Unpaid Time Off).

  2. Add optional Notes for your manager.

  3. Set the From date and To date.

  4. Each day in the range will appear below with an All day toggle. Turn All day off to set specific hours for a partial day.

  5. The Total hours update in real time.

  6. Tap Submit request.

If your request exceeds your available balance or violates the advance notice policy, a red error message will appear and the Submit request button will be disabled.

💡 Your pending requests show in orange on the balance chart. Once a manager approves your request, those hours will be deducted from your balance and automatically reflected in your timesheets.
